We’re thrilled to announce the publication of the 2024 edition of the ECSA Skills Strategy. This report is a guiding force for the project and the result of a comprehensive examination of the European semiconductor ecosystem. In the quantitative analysis, readers will discover the hard data behind the forecasted job demand, projected job offers, and finally how large will the talent gap be? Further, the qualitative analysis compiles the input from 130 experts in the sector to uncover industry trends, consider emerging job profiles and skills needs, as well as highlight the positions which are the most difficult to fill.
Finally, this Skills Strategy includes a number of recommendations looking both at what we can do in the short-term as well as what kind of long-term action will be needed to bridge the talent gap. We encourage everyone from industry, to education providers, to policymakers to take a look at these findings and be part of the effort to support skills in semiconductors.
