Be the Voice of Europe’s Microelectronics – Join the Student Ambassador Program!
The ECSA Student Ambassador Program was officially launched in April 2024 at the first Student Forum at TU Delft. Since then, it has grown into a vibrant network of motivated students who share a common goal: to make sure Europe stays at the forefront of the fast-evolving semiconductor world.

Why does this matter? Because Europe faces a significant talent gap in microelectronics — a gap that will only increase in the years to come if nothing is done. The program empowers you to play an active role in raising awareness, motivating your peers, and helping build the next generation of European semiconductor talent.
At the same time, it’s also about opportunities for you. As an Ambassador, you’ll bring your perspective to the table, influence how courses are designed, and share your creative ideas with a European network of students, researchers, and industry professionals. The program is flexible, fun, and designed around you, so you can contribute at your own pace, alongside your studies. Whether it’s reviewing course material, interviewing experts, representing ECSA at international events, or simply joining monthly calls to stay in the loop — there’s space for every level of engagement.
And the best part? You won’t just be watching the future of microelectronics unfold — you’ll be shaping it. Your actions as an Ambassador will make the microelectronics community stronger and more visible across campuses and beyond.

Activities of Student Ambassadors 🎉
Being a Student Ambassador isn’t about ticking boxes — it’s about having fun, trying new things, and making your mark in Europe’s microelectronics community. Here are just some of the ways you can get involved:
1.✨Test & review brand-new ECSA content like the e-Learning platform and online courses — your feedback shapes and improves what future students across Europe will learn!
2. 📣Spread the word on campus or on social media: share events, promote project results, or create your own posts to keep the student community engaged and informed.
3. 🎤Take the stage: whether you’re giving a talk, moderating a discussion, or simply sharing your experience, it’s your chance to grow your confidence and inspire others.
4. 🌍Join the action: help out at the Student Forum, support our Summer School, or become a camp counselor — it’s your chance to meet people, share ideas, and get hands-on.
5.✈️Represent ECSA at international events: in 2025 SA joined the TIE Contest in Brașov, the EMPC in Grenoble, AETA event in Brussels, connecting with students from across Europe. Where will you go next?
6. 🎥Get creative: interview experts, write blog posts, or design memes for social media. (Check out Andra’s chat with Suzanne Lesecq, Dean’s with Dominik Zupan, Vasil’s with Patrick Cogez and Rakshith’s with Nikhil Palekar.)
7. 💡Bring your own ideas! The program is still growing, and we love experimenting. Dream up a podcast, a newsletter, a student club — whatever excites you. If you suggest it, we’ll explore it together.
Opportunities for Student Ambassadors 🚀
Being part of the Ambassador Program it’s also about the unique opportunities you get to learn, grow, and connect. Here are three of the most exciting ones:
1. 🌟 The Student Ambassador Summit
This yearly summit is where you connect with professionals, explore cutting-edge research, and meet peers from all over Europe who share your passion for microelectronics.
– 1st Summit (2024, IMEC, Leuven, Belgium): clean room visit, career talks on geopolitics, chemical regulation, and embedded software — plus plenty of time for networking with both students and professionals.
– 2nd Summit (2025, Infineon Technologies, Villach, Austria): a full 2-day program including lab tours, technical presentations, interviews with Infineon experts, and a deep dive into careers in microelectronics.
Participation isn’t automatic: students are selected based on how active and engaged they are as Ambassadors. The Summit is both a reward for your contribution and a chance to take your involvement to the next level.
Each edition is different, but the energy is the same: Ambassadors shaping the future together.
2. 🎓 The Student Forum
The ECSA Student Forum is a flagship event where students take the stage. It’s by students, for students — a space to showcase research, exchange ideas, and discuss the future of microelectronics education in Europe.
– First edition (2024, TU Delft, the Netherlands): 120 students joined professors and industry speakers for talks, student research presentations, and a lively panel discussion about barriers and opportunities for students in microelectronics.
– Next edition: will be hosted at UPM (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid), Spain.
Best of all? You could help organize a Student Forum at your university — shaping the program, inviting speakers, and inspiring your peers.
3. 🌍 Industry Events & Sponsorship
Ambassadors also get the chance to step into the real world of industry. You’ll represent ECSA at major events, gain insider access to high-level conferences, and sometimes even receive support to attend international fairs and professional gatherings.
– SA can join flagship industry events like SEMICON Europa in Munich, Germany, where a dedicated Student Session highlights their projects.
– SA represented ECSA at the TIE Contest 2025 in Brașov, Romania, inspiring more young talents to explore careers in microelectronics.
– SA took part in the 25th European Microelectronics & Packaging Conference (EMPC 2025) in Grenoble, France, discovering innovation up close.
– SA attended the “Accelerating Europe’s Tech Advantage” event in Brussels, Belgium, seeing how education, policy, and industry come together.
Being an Ambassador means you don’t just hear about what’s happening in microelectronics — you’re right there in the room.
Ways We Connect & Collaborate 🤝
We keep in touch through a mix of channels, so you can always stay connected in the way that works best for you:
👉 You don’t have to join both Discord and WhatsApp — just pick the platform you use most (or join both if you like). Updates are sent to both channels.
⏳ Time commitment: We know your studies come first, so the program is designed to be flexible. You choose how much time you dedicate. That said, when we have limited spots at events, we do take active participation into account when selecting who can attend.
